The NHS cancelled nearly 180,000 operations last year due to lack of beds, staff, and equipment. With staffing issues being the most common reason. Freedom of information data obtained by the Labour Party revealed other causes, including administrative errors and adverse weather. Labour’s Wes Streeting criticised the Conservative government for neglecting the NHS, while a Conservative spokesman argued that Labour’s plans were ineffective in Wales.
