Dementia diagnosis figures hit record high.

The number of people in England diagnosed with dementia reached a record 487,432 as of June, according to NHS figures. Diagnosis rates are at their highest since the pandemic began, at 65 per cent, though the NHS aims to reach 66.7 per cent. Dr Jeremy Isaacs, national clinical director for dementia at NHS England, emphasised that a diagnosis is crucial for accessing NHS support services.
