Living in Scotland appeals.

Boom in internal migration from England to Scotland and Wales.

Net migration from England to Scotland and Wales reached near-record levels in the year to June 2023, driven by the cost of living crisis. The Office for National Statistics revealed a 53% increase, with 31,393 people moving out. Aneisha Beveridge from Hamptons and Cameron Ewer from Savills noted affordability and the value gap as key factors, with property costs significantly lower in Scotland and Wales compared to England.
