Oh dear, the Tories misspell Britain.

Spot the mistake.

Conservative party officials spelt Britain incorrectly on a chocolate bar given out at the annual party conference. It was included in a free goodie bag given away at the annual conference, taking place in Manchester this week.

Organisers are blaming the mistake on a “printing error” and have since removed the sweet treat from bags. Red faces all round and embarrassing for Kemi Badenoch, who signed it. Not a major poliical issue just a bit crap. Does that sum-up the tories and Badenoch’ leadership ambitions?

A YouGov survey of 652 Conservative Party members, revealed a sharp divide over whether Badenoch should lead the party into the next general election. Just 46% backed her as a potential leader, while 50% said she should not.

There’s also uncertainty over her political longevity: 49% of members believe Badenoch won’t still be in post by the time of the next election, while 47% believe she will be. Although she beat Robert Jenrick in the last leadership contest, the poll found Jenrick now holds a slight edge in popularity among members – 46% to her 39%.

Will Farage do a deal with the tories?
Will Farage do a deal with the tories?

Meanwhile, as Reform UK continues to gain traction among voters, calls for a pact — or even a merger — between the two parties are growing louder.
