“Football is not simply a matter of life and death. It is far more important than that.”
To the football superfan nothing could speak to the truth more than this statement. The real fan is willing to sacrifice anything for their team. Weddings, births, parties and holidays are amongst the casualties of football obsession.
And why not? As any football fan knows, there is nothing like the feeling you get from the highs and lows of “your team”. A feeling that goes beyond liking and has more meaning than love. Romantics everywhere are jealous of the feelings stirred by the mention of one name.
In my case it is Queens Park Rangers. The Hoops have not been doing so well recently. We have barely escaped relegation for the last four seasons but that fact does nothing to dampen my support for the club who were my local team growing up and my Dad supported them. That’s enough to start a lifelong love affair.

Who do you support and why? It could be Man United or Forest Green Rovers, or Liverpool or Plymouth Argyle, Football Superfan is a club filled with true fans who simply love their club and know what it means to be a true fan.
