Britain’s biggest pub chain issues warning as debt reaches £2.2bn
Stonegate Pub company, the UK’s biggest pubs and bars group, has warned that there is no guarantee it can continue as it struggles to refinance as £2.2billion debt mountain. While talks with potential lenders are understood to be underway, the failure to agree a new facility by the time the company published its annual report left it with no choice but to issue an alert.
