Covid cases halve in a year
Covid-19 cases in the UK have significantly decreased, reaching a three-year low with infections continuing to fall, according to government figures. Professor Paul Hunter from the University of East Anglia highlights that “infection rates are much lower so far this year” even when adjusted for reduced testing. Despite this positive trend, scientists warn of the potential for up to three more Covid waves this year.
