Dr Martens sticks in the boot to Temu over alleged trademark infringement.
British footwear retailer, Dr Martens, is suing Chinese marketplace, Temu, on charges of trademark infringement. The company accuses Temu of using paid advertising employing keywords such as “Dr. Martens” and “Airwair” to promote similar boots, which led to Temu’s products appearing ahead of Dr Martens’ in search results. Last week, the lawsuit was filed in the High Court, following Dr Marten’s previous legal action against Shein in 2021 for alleged counterfeit sales.
