Retail Week reports that over half of UK consumers use delivery lockers for online purchases, driven by convenience, lower costs and speed, according to Retail Economics and InPost. The locker use was highest among Gen Z (71%) and millennials (68%). The research also linked locker use to sustainability concerns, with lockers perceived as a “greener solution” by 84.2% of shoppers. Retailers such as H&M, Zara, Boohoo and New Look introduced fees for parcel returns last year due to the rising costs of deliveries and returns.
