Palestinian migrants have been allowed to live in the UK after applying through a scheme originally designed for Ukrainian refugees. A family of six seeking to flee Gaza have been allowed to join a relative in Britain after an immigration judge ruled that the Home Offices rejection of their application violated their human rights. Home Office lawyers have warned that the court’s decision to accept the Palestinian family’s case could open the “floodgates” to “the admission of all those in conflict zones with family in the UK”.
