Gary Lineker is leaving Match Of The Day….shame. We are released from the inane shit that he and his pals spout on about in between the matches, which is all we want to see.
At collossal cost to the license fee-payer, Lineker and his cronies have forced us to listen to their dull, unfunny ramblings for thirty years. The only way out is the mute button between games.

He will not be missed and let’s pray he has the dignity to go into his well funded retirement without further noise.
Pathetically ill-informed comments on immigration and gender politics have been a feature of his tenure and the BBC has enabled him. It has covered neither in glory and in that time Lineker has picked up very few fans and the BBC has lost any of that authority or presence it once had whilst other broadcasters have pushed on.
He is a very lucky man – take the win Gary, shut up and go.
