Nigella Lawson has been announced as the star of Greggs’ first-ever Christmas ad, putting paid to rumours of a dispute over the bakery chain’s iconic sausage rolls.
The collaboration brings together two British household names, with Lawson lending her signature sensual prose to promote Greggs’ festive menu. In the advert, Lawson is seen rhapsodising over the “rapturous riot of flavour” found in the brand’s festive bakes.
Lawson identifies as a long-time fan of Greggs, especially their sausage rolls, despite rumours since denied by both Greggs and Lawson, that she refused to put her face to the pastries. Have a look:
The campaign will showcase Lawson indulging in Greggs’ seasonal offerings, including vegan festive bakes, in a home adorned with Greggs-themed Christmas decorations.
This latest work follows on from a blockbuster in-store activation which saw Greggs unveil a champagne bar at Fenwick’s flagship Newcastle department store.
On the campaign, Lawson said: “As a long-time fan of Greggs, and especially their sausage rolls, I’m thrilled to be collaborating with them to celebrate the return of the iconic Christmas menu.”
