Elon Musk’s X is suing food and drink conglomerates Unilever and Mars over claims of a “massive advertiser boycott”.
X, formerly known as Twitter, filed a lawsuit in Texas against the World Federation of Advertisers and individual companies that includes Unilever and Mars.
The social media tycoon has accused Unilever, whose portfolio includes Marmite, Magnum and Ben & Jerry’s, and Mars, which also owns Dolmio, Snickers and Skittles, of conspiring to boycott the social media platform, deliberately causing a financial loss.
Musk tweeted: “We tried peace for 2 years, now it is war.”
