They named her “Pepita” (little seed) after her rescue. She was found off the cost of Malaga in Spain, all tangled up in fishermen’s nets that severely restricted her movements. All alone in the ocean, and with hardly any ability to catch fish, her days were numbered.
The man in the picture and his colleagues took a boat big enough to bring her to shore to relieve her of the stress the mesh had caused. They healed her friction cuts that were extensive and she was finally free! These days, she enjoys naps daily, together with her rescuers who are delighted to have her.
