In new book The Anxious Generation, brand strategist Lynne Stainthorpe outlined her takeaways of how to limit the psychological impact of social media and technology on children.
“No smartphones before [the age of 14],” Stainthorpe writes, “[and] no social media before 16. Let children get through the most vulnerable period of brain development before connecting them to an avalanche of social comparison and algorithmically chosen influencers.”
