Health Secretary Wes Streeting has defended the permanent ban on puberty blockers, initially enacted via emergency legislation in June by Victoria Atkins. Streeting criticised the language used by trans activists, who accused him of wanting to “kill trans children”. The ban, challenged in court by TransActual and the Good Law Project, was upheld by the Labour Government, sparking further outrage among campaigners.
