A pilot scheme for breakfast clubs is set to launch in 750 UK schools, funded by Labour’s proposed VAT on private school fees. The scheme aims to provide healthy breakfasts and recruit 6,500 teachers, with current operations like those at Bournville Primary School already benefiting from the charity Magic Breakfast. Lindsey MacDonald, CEO of Magic Breakfast, emphasises the need for fully funded, nutritious breakfast programmes accessible to all children.
