Manchester United have confirmed three players are leaving the club – only minutes after their controversial win against Aston Villa.
Villa missed out on a Champions League finish following a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
Christian Eriksen took the spot kick for the second as he leaves United at the end of the season.
The club confirmed the Dane, along with Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans are departing.
A statement read: “Everybody at United thanks Victor, Jonny and Christian for their contribution during their time at Old Trafford, and wishes them the best of luck for the future.
“Each of them received a great ovation from the appreciative crowd on Sunday.”
This has been a desparate season for United by their historic standards. A low league position and no trophies is a body blow for a club with such a rich history.
